"I called because my insurance was increased for no reason last month. I wanted to understand, and I got the wrong person to speak with. My insurance hasn't been increased for years. I have no accidents, no tickets in over 15 years, and I'm in the age bracket that I'm considered a very careful driver. And I am. The person I spoke with was super rude (and shouldn't be in customer service) and just told me they could raise my rate because it was renewal time. I was frustrated and said - I know I'm paying for all the people in Detroit who don't have insurance. And she said she was very offended I said that (it's true). And now I'm looking for a new insurance company. Which sucks because there's only me on my policy. If you have multiple people, it's cheaper (also cheaper if you're married). There are So many things that aren't fair or right about insurance. It's a payment that I'm forced to make to be able to drive. I have gotten nothing out of it, ever. She was offended? Because I spoke the truth (and didn't say anything negatively personal about her - which I thought was super weird). Super disappointed with this company."

"I've been with this office for 10 years, and have not had any problems until recently. Received a notice in the mail they were cancelling one of our vehicles for not providing "necessary information" to complete underwriting review. Confused, since this was the first notice we ever received, I called to see what was going on. I was told they "text me" several times, and I never responded. I asked what number they text, since I never received any. Come to find out, they had been texting our land line, not a cell phone. So, the information needed was so important, that not responding cancelled our policy, but the only attempt to contact us was text messages, which obviously were not received. I said I was disappointed that something that important was not sent as a written notice, or at least attempt to call us, before telling us we were just going to be cancelled. When I expressed this, the response was "well, we have been trying since December", to which I stated again, "well, it was a land line, so I did not get those messages." I also just found out all of our vehicles insurance would be getting cancelled, but only received a written notice for one of them. Not sure what has changed to disregard a long term customer in this way, but it was enough for us to switch agents."
